Book #3 of the Consequences Series—

There were still lessons to learn and consequences for the truth!
When Claire Nichols met Anthony Rawlings, she didn’t know they had a past, or that he had plans for her future. Over time, the role of teacher changed—games became reality—and domination turned to desire. Despite an insurmountable history, Claire and Tony found their way back to one another.

Just when they seemed to have it all—love, respect, and the promise of a family—the game master exposed the truth. Claire’s world once again spun out of control. Unwilling to allow her child to suffer the consequences of an old vendetta, Claire fled...

At one time, Claire was held captive in an opulent mansion—then her incarceration was a cell inside a state penitentiary. Was her new prison—a tropical island—truly less lonely? Perhaps that was the game master’s plan, all along?

Who will save Claire from her oldest nightmare and her newest reality? Will it be Tony? Can he forgive her for leaving him—again? Harry? Will he utilize previously unknown connections to save the woman who infiltrates his thoughts? Maybe Phil? Will his devotion in keeping Claire and her child safe be rewarded?

As the cards are played—sins of the past, innocent victims, and truths are revealed. With compartmentalization no longer an option, is the reality too much? Could there be an even worse isolation?

With the game master dealing from a stacked deck, can this new high-stakes game possibly be won?

When it’s all over and their cards are on the table—SOME will discover their bets were too high—they have nothing left to lose—ALL will learn the crucial lesson—the most important rule—there are CONSEQUENCES for the TRUTH!

My Review: 5 out of 5 Stars

Wow ... I just finished reading Convicted around 3 am and I had to get my thoughts together. Since I don't like containing spoilers I will give the best review i can without giving too much away. I honestly feel my words cannot even express how much I truly loved this story but I will try.

*You might have to reread book 2 before reading Book 3-i did. I started Book 3 but didn't make it far i immediately read book 2 again, just to get a feel for the characters again and remember all the details again.

I began Aleatha Romig's Consequences series last year and was hooked from the very first page in book 1. to the very last page in book 3. This series is not for the faint of heart. Taken for the disclaimer in her book: It contains  dark adult Content. It contains innuendos of kidnapping, rape, physical and mental abuse. So if those are topics you are not comfortable with, unfortunately this Amazing series is not for you.

Although I enjoyed the whole series I will try to focus this review on book 3 as much as possible.
Convicted like the other 2 books brought out so many different emotions in me. Fear, Anger, sadness, Happiness and most important HOPE. I've become so connected to the characters in this series Aleatha Romig's writing is so beautiful you forget you're only reading a story.

My view on the characters:
I think Emily pissed me off in the other books and it was no different here. Don't get me wrong I loved her but I wanted to slap and shake her quite a few times. I understand she was only doing what she thought was right for Clair but damn that woman.

Some may say I'm disturbed but so be it. I was rooting for Clair and Tony since book #1 well not really in book 1 but they had their moments but definitely in Book 2 . Of course not in the beginning but throughout the story I couldn't help but love them together. And the Tony Convicted omg he stole my heart. I loved their relationship, was it different, and didn't start under good circumstances Yes but it was Theirs.

Courtney & Meredith were Amazing friends. The type of friends we can only hope to find in this lifetime. They stayed real and true to Clair during her hard times especially in this book. They didn't judge and believed in Clair's strength and ability to make the decisions that were right for her unlike some people *cough*Emily*Cough* ;). and I loved that about them.

I can go on and on about the characters I loved such as Phil, Eric and Brent whom stayed true throughout the series but then this review would be really long :)

I actually had a mixture of feelings for Catherine, of course in the beginning I  loved her then I hated her and then I just felt sorry for her. She could have had so much but she let her past control her and dictate her decisions. or maybe she was really just was Evil.

In closing I will say This series has been a crazy rollercoaster ride filling me with so many different emotions and I couldn't ask for more. Just like the first 2 books Convicted had me on edge. I never knew what was going to happen from one scene to the next  there were so many twists and turns.  It's romance, Thriller, suspense, Dark ...it's everything you want and more. I really did absolutely love it and Thank  you Aleatha Romig for writing such an Extraordinary ending to an Amazing & Beautiful Story.
